NORTHERN PEARLY EYE

North America is home to the northern pearly-eye, a Satyrinae species found from middle Saskatchewan and eastern Nebraska to Nova Scotia and from central Alabama and Mississippi to the south.

COMMON TIT

Located in South-East Asia and India, the common tit is a little yet eye-catching butterfly that is a member of the blues or lycaenid family.

RED-SPOTTED PURPLE

The worldwide genus Limenitis includes the North American white admiral or red-spotted purple species. One of the most striking instances of hybridization between non-mimetic and mimetic populations has been investigated for its mimicry evolution and the multiple stable hybrid wing patterns within one nominal species. The 'purple' in its name includes this butterfly with some indigo hues!
